EVENT ROUTES AND INFORMATION

Scunthorpe MCC currently have the following routes

Sections are set using coloured Markers and Start/End gate boards, the markers are placed in the ground so Riders can navigate the section in a certain direction, based on the Start and End Boards and Red & Blue flags - Red flags must always be on your Right and Blue flags on your Left. The sections have one set of primary markers, the Red & Blue (or Main Route) when these are the only flags present all bikes, regardless of route ridden, must pass through them. When a different set of flags, such as Yellow (or Club Route) or White (or White Route) are present you follow those instead. White route will follow Yellow flags when only Red & Blue and Yellow are present.

HOW THE SCORING SYSTEM WORKS

There are many different types of trials in the Uk, ranging from Non-stop national road events covering 60-100 miles per event with one lap, to local club events like ours which usually have 8 section and 5 laps only covering 5-15 miles. Meaning during one of our events riders will be expected to complete 40 sections in total. Bikes and riders are classified as in the section once the front wheel spindle of the bike crosses over the start line, and similarly are out of the section once the front wheel spindle crosses the end line.
